The Space

Continue down to the private deck for lounging or dining. Inside, high ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight welcome you to the comfortable living area. Relax in front of the 60-inch smart TV or gather with friends and family in the adjacent dining room, which seats six guests and opens to the back patio and treed garden. Catch up with emails, news and work at the spacious office nook. The vintage “mid-century modern” kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare and serve meals for family and guests and includes a bistro table for two. Each of the two bedrooms is designed to provide the perfect combination of comfort and convenience. The front bedroom has a king-sized bed and features soothing views to La Jolla Cove and adjacency to the primary bathroom. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms feature wall-mounted 43-inch smart TVs for your entertainment. Outdoors, the front deck provides a dining table with umbrella, comfortable seating for six, and a gas grill. There is also a table that seats six in the covered patio off the kitchen . Neighborhood

La Jolla Shores is a beach and popular vacation/residential community of the same name ideally situated in La Jolla, San Diego, California. The quaint La Jolla Shores business district is a relaxed, mixed use village encircling Laureate Park, on Avenida de la Playa in the village of La Jolla Shores.

The village has several fine dining restaurants as well as plenty of casual dining spaces, shops, and a few galleries. You can take surf lessons and rent surfboards, boogie boards, paddle boards and wetsuits from Surf Diva. Kayak, snorkel and bike tours are available at San Diego Bike and Kayak.

The beach is approximately one mile long and stretches from the sea cliffs just north of La Jolla Cove to Black's Beach south of Torrey Pines State Park. The Shores meets Scripps Institute of Oceanography campus and Kellogg Park (with an ideal kids playground and picnic area right next to the beach), encompasses the Scripps Pier and borders the San Diego - La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve to the south. The beach is a popular launch point for kayakers and has a swimming area only as well as a surfing area only.

- Our beach home includes 1 free parking space in the garage located on the property. Street parking is also available.
- As part of our standard verification process, we kindly request that the guest signs an additional agreement and verifies ID. Your comfort and security are important to us.

Getting Around

We are located in a family friendly, quiet neighborhood located in close proximity to beautiful La Jolla Shores Beach. A wonderful array of restaurants and cafes, ice cream, frozen yogurt, coffee and dessert shops, a neighborhood market, kayak, paddle board and bike rentals along with great shopping are all located on Avenida De La Playa, one block from the beach. You will be close to everything, but without the noise. This house offers prime location that is hard to beat.

House Rules

To ensure a pleasant and secure stay, we ask all guests to review and comply with the following rules. By confirming your booking, you agree to abide by these policies.

1. General House Rules
• Treat the Home with Care: Please treat the property as you would your own. Excessive mess or damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in additional cleaning or repair charges.
• No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited. This includes tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and similar products. Violation will result in immediate eviction, loss of the security deposit, and a $500 cleaning fee.
• No Unauthorized Pets: Pets are only allowed with prior written permission and a $150 pet fee. Unauthorized pets may result in eviction and additional charges.
• Noise and Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Please respect our neighbors. Excessive noise complaints may result in early termination without a refund.
• No Parties or Events: Unauthorized parties or events are not allowed. Violations will result in a $1,000 fine and immediate eviction.
• No Commercial Use: Commercial film or photography requires prior written approval.

2. Check-In and Check-Out
• Check-In: From 4 PM. Early check-in may be available with prior approval.
• Check-Out: By 10 AM. Late check-outs without approval will result in a fee of $100/hour or 50% of the daily rate, whichever is greater.

3. Occupancy and Parking
• Maximum Occupancy: As specified in your booking. Exceeding the limit may result in eviction and a $200 fee per additional person, per day.
• Parking: Limited to designated areas. Unauthorized vehicles may be towed at the guest’s expense.

4. Cleaning and Maintenance
• Standard Cleaning: The home will be cleaned before your arrival. Guests must maintain general cleanliness and use designated trash bins.
• Excessive Cleaning Fees: Additional fees may apply for deep cleaning (e.g., pet feces, excessive sand, furniture stained, excessive pet hair).
• Hot Tub and Pool Use: Keep sand and debris out of the hot tub. Misuse will incur a $300 cleaning fee.

5. Damages and Security Deposit
• Report any damage immediately. Damage beyond normal wear and tear will be deducted from your security deposit or charged to your credit card.
• Lost keys or access devices will result in a replacement fee.

6. Safety and Liability
• Guest Safety: Use facilities such as pools and trampolines at your own risk. The property owner is not liable for personal injury or loss.
• Emergency Contact: For emergencies, dial 911. For urgent property-related issues, contact our 24-hour support line.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
• Cancellation: No refunds for cancellations within 30 days of arrival. Refunds for cancellations more than 30 days before arrival are subject to a 4% processing fee.
• Unavailability: If the property is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided.

8. Additional Rules
• Trash Management: Dispose of trash properly in designated bins. Excessive trash removal may result in additional fees.
• Approved Guests Only: Only registered guests are allowed. Unauthorized guests may result in immediate eviction.

9. Final Agreement
By booking and staying at the property, you agree to these rules. Failure to comply may result in additional charges, eviction, and forfeiture of any security deposit.

"We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and was well stocked. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and plates, cups etc. All of the kitchen items were in almost new condition which was very nice. The bedrooms had plenty of pillows and blankets. The location was fantastic and we walked almost everywhere! I would absolutely stay here again!

"Our stay was great, the home was very spacious and clean. Everything was well stocked, with plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen essentials, etc. We also appreciated that the provided amenities were in great condition (e g., beach chairs that were practically brand new, kitchen knives that were actually sharp). The location is great, only a few minutes walking to a beach access point, or about 15 mins to either La Jolla Cove or La Jolla Shores Beach. The hosts were also very communicative and flexible (even allowing us a late checkout, which was appreciated). The only real downside to our stay was that there is no street parking directly in front of the house and the host did not provide the garage code in the instructions. This made it a little difficult when arriving at night and not immediately knowing where we could park and unload.
